So most people get up on Pioneer Day wish their kids a happy day maybe go to a parade or to the park but not this family...we got up went to breakfast, came home found a snail and decided to teach our kids what happens to the poor thing when you put salt on it.

He figured out what happens. Poor kid, he looks so distraught, it was all Jemima's idea and now I feel terrible. I don't remember feeling this bad when I was a kid doing the same thing to those disgusting snails. I suppose Matty just has a heart and well, I didn't.

I forgot about that...we had snails all over the place when I was a kid. I never see them any more! Next time I see one I'll have to relive my childhood! I love that Matt was so distraught...what a sweet kid!
