We have been waiting to finish our back yard for almost three years now. I have wanted grass more than ANYTHING for a really long time. It just seems as if right when we get ready to do it, something happens and we aren't able to finish it. I have been obsessed with getting grass so it's pretty much the topic of every conversation. Along with obsessing over grass we have been doing the normal parent thing and are trying desperately to teach our children, for instance teaching our kids to pray. This has been really important to me because it seemed like we were just saying the same old things in every prayer. It was getting routine and felt very ungrateful. We decided that every night we would have Matt think of at least 5 different things to be thankful for so that has been our goal. Last night it was Matt's turn to say the prayer and he was saying the things he was thankful for like his bed, family...and then his BUM. I started laughing so hard and then I heard Tom laughing but we managed to pull ourselves together and to be reverent. He kept naming off things and then said "and I am thankful that we are getting grass...uh...well, that we MIGHT get grass" and that comment right there set us over the top and it was hopeless. So much for teaching our kids how to pray because we couldn't make it through while still being reverent. And yes Matt I am grateful for my bum as well it might make life very difficult with out it.
